Your 2024 Hot Girl Maintenance Routine

There are a few beauty and maintenance things I've added into my routine over the last few months. So now that 2024 is here, I'm ready to fully get my routine together to look and feel my best in this new year. And I'm here to help you too! Here's what I plan to do for my 2024 Hot Girl Maintenance Routine.

Morning Yoga

I try to do yoga every morning and if I can, I try to do it outside! I love to get in as much morning sunlight as possible and my body is generally very stiff in the morning. It's a lightweight exercise that encourages you to keep moving throughout the day, and is a great way to start your morning.

It's 2024, wear sunscreen! Protect your skin and your future self will thank you.

Daily Walks

If you're not inspired to go for a full on run, or HIIT isn't your thing, daily walks are a great way to exercise, get your daily sun intake, and get your heart pumping!

Rosemary Water Hair Spray

I've been detangling and spritzing rosemary water on my hair every morning, and I can't say yet whether or not it's working, but it's a nice part of my daily routine. Rosemary water is known to help with hair growth and strengthening hair, and I've finally hopped on the bandwagon.

I make my own by clipping a few sprigs off of the bush in my backyard and boiling it on the stove for about 30 minutes. After letting it cool, I pour it into a spray bottle and spritz every morning!

Collagen & Fiber Smoothies

You'd be surprised what a daily smoothie with a scoop of fiber can do for your digestive system. I also add a scoop of collagen powder to improve my skin's texture & elasticity, as well as reduce joint pain and strengthen my overall joint health.

Daily Multivitamin

While you should be getting as many of your nutrients as possible from your daily food intake, taking a multivitamin can help supplement anything you're missing. I love the Vitamin Code Raw One for Women Multivitamin and have been taking it for years. I love that it's a real food vitamin, specifically created for women.

"With 24 powdered organically grown fruits and vegetables, Raw One for Women contains antioxidants, vitamins and nutrient cofactors to support energy, metabolism, reproductive system health, and radiant skin and nails.† Raw means no high heat, synthetic binders, fillers, artificial flavors, sweeteners, or additives commonly used in tablets. And, what’s better than the convenience of one capsule per day—easy peasy!"

Dry Brushing

I've been dry brushing for a few months now, and I love the way it makes me feel! Dry Brushing is a daily body massage with a stiff bristle brush that is said to remove dry and flaky skin, improve circulation, detoxify, and even help your digestion. I do it a few times a week before going in the shower, and I love the way it leaves my skin feeling.

According to the Cleveland Clinic,

"The mechanical action of dry brushing is excellent for exfoliating rough, dry skin. “Dry brushing unclogs pores in the exfoliation process. It also helps detoxify your skin by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow/drainage,” says Dr. Khetarpal. Also, by unclogging pores, it’s easier for the body to sweat and eliminate toxins in your system."

Castor Oil Massage

Castor Oil massage has gained traction lately after claims that massaging castor oil into your navel can help alleviate period cramps and other reproductive ailments. I've been massaging castor oil onto my abdomen at night and using a heating pad to allow the oil to penetrate my skin and help with cramping, bloating and digestive issues, and I can say I feel a difference! If you're someone who struggles with difficult menstrual cramps or excessive bloating, this is a great, natural way to help relieve some of your symptoms.

Everything Shower

Once a week, I like to participate in what TikTok has labeled, the "Everything Shower". An everything shower is exactly what it sounds like: a shower where you take care of..well... everything. Shaving where you need to shave, exfoliating, washing your hair, and doing your full skin care routine. Everyone's everything shower will look different based on their needs, but mine usually consists of exfoliating with my Korean spa mitts, shaving, washing my face, and finishing off with a face mask and lip scrub. This weekly reset is something I love to do on Sunday nights in preparation for the week ahead.

Deep Condition

I do a deep condition treatment on my hair at night once per week, and I absolutely love the way my fair feels afterward! I purchased this blow drying cap from Amazon, and sit under it for 30 minutes while I let the product soak into my strands. If you tend to have dry hair like me, this is a great way to pump extra moisture into it that will last a few extra days.

Gua Sha

This is one I haven't fully implemented yet, but I plan to! Gua sha is a type of facial massage that is said to define and showcase your facial structure. If you're not a botox girlie and want to try your best to get that chiseled look without the needles, gua sha is definitely worth a shot.

Lip Scrub

I've been using lip scrubs since 2020 and it's such a small and easy thing to work into your beauty routine. I do this at night after I brush my teeth and they're always left feeling so supple and full! The best part is, you can make your own!

From Nivea,

Mix one teaspoon of honey with two teaspoons of sugar.

  1. Massage the mixture into your lips and leave for 10 minutes or so.

  2. Remove with the help of a wet face washer.

Gratitude Journal

It wouldn't be a hot girl maintenance

routine without a little inner work and inner beauty maintenance. Keeping a gratitude journal is a great way to remain grounded, present and aligned with your goals and how you want to feel for the new year.

Love this! love that you included SPF on the list and things that you can do yourself at home rather than getting everything done at a salon every two weeks. Thank you for the blog Felicia!
