Wedding Ring Refresh

Hello lovelies!

This post is for my fellow wives and wives to be. Or anyone who plans on wearing a sparkly ring on their finger in the future.

When you initially get engaged, the bling is usually blinging. It's sparkly and shiny, fresh and new. But over the months while you're planning the big day, your ring will likely start to lose its shine and become slightly less vibrant.

Doing the dishes with your ring on, showering, putting on lotion, and other hand focused activities cause your ring to slowly lose that wow factor. But never fear! It's very quick and easy to get your jewelry back to its original glory.

I try to clean my ring once every few months, or when I see it getting a little dull. You can go to a jeweler to get it cleaned "professionally", but this is easier since you probably have everything you need at home. (Though, most jewelers will clean your ring for free if you bring it in to the same jeweler you bought from.) But we like to do things at home around here.

How to Clean Your Ring:

What You Need:

  • Soft bristle toothbrush

  • Dawn dishwashing liquid

  • Warm water

Instructions:

Step 1: Mix warm water with 2-3 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid.

Step 2: Soak your ing in the water and soap solution for 30 minutes.

Step 3: Using a soft bristle toothbrush, brush your ring. Make sure to get in between any crevices and not just on the front of the ring.

Step 4: Rinse off your ring with warm water & pat dry.

That's it! Now your ring will sparkle and shine just like the day you got it. Enjoy your sparkles!
