With everything going on in the world, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has completely forgotten that Mother's Day is literally right around the corner even though, as you know, my mom is my best friend.
I mean to be fair, we haven't celebrated anything as a nation since New Year's, so I wouldn't be surprised if we all collectively forgot about Mother's Day as well.
That said, I still want to do something for my mom to show her how much I love and appreciate her.
In today's post, I'll be giving you some ideas for last minute gifts to show your Mom or Mother-figure just how much she means to you.
LAST MINUTE MOTHER'S DAY GIFT GUIDE
1) A framed photo of the two of you.
I can't be the only one who's mom is incredibly sentimental. She goes gaga for anything that includes old pictures and memories. You can pick up an affordable picture frame at your local CVS (or have one shipped overnight from Amazon) and fill it with a photo of the two of you that will bring back fun, loving memories.
2) Personalized Lotion
Mom's are usually running around doing a million different things, and they often don't take much needed time for themselves. Show your mom it's okay to relax by making her a specialized lotion or skin cream just for her! You can even do this with products you might already have at home. I found some amazing body butter recipes on Pinterest, but all you really need to do is mix about a cup of Shea Butter with some Coconut Oil, and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Put it in a mason jar with a ribbon tied around it and voila! You've created a thoughtful gift that she'll be sure to love.
3) A Good Book!
Another easy and quick gift idea is to get your mom a book that she's been wanting to read, or one that you think she'll enjoy! You can grab her some books on fashion, style, femininity or whatever she's interested in! Once again I say, Thank God for Amazon overnight shipping.
4) A Spa Day Gift Certificate
This has the be the easiest gift option because you don't have to go anywhere in order to do it! You can buy gift certificates to spas in your area online or by calling! Check to see if they have any Mother's Day specials and maybe the two of you can have a spa day together (when the pandemic dies down, of course).
Spa Days are one of my mom and I's favorite pastimes, and I have such fond memories of going to get massages, manicures and facials with her.
5) A Satin Robe!
You all saw in my last video my beautiful Navy Blue satin robe, and I absolutely adore it. Since the weather is warming up, the thick robe that your mom may have been sporting for the last several months might need to take a back seat to something much lighter and more feminine. Amazon has some amazing options for satin and silk robes as does Etsy!
Well lovelies, I hope that helped you out! Don't feel bad if you've forgotten Mother's Day, this has been such a strange year that I'm sure you're not alone.
